My husband Bernie and I have been coming to Hilton Head Island for 15 years. We purchased our home here 10 years ago and moved to the Island permanently following retirement.
I began my legal career as a Public Defender in Los Angeles County. After moving to Maryland, I continued to practice criminal law and in 2000 was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge. I also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University Of Baltimore School Of Law and taught mediation skills to law students for 10 years.
In 2005, I began working for the federal government with the bulk of my federal career in Civil Rights and Dispute Resolution.
I am passionate about public service and giving back to the community. I am an active member of several local civic organizations and volunteer with the Neighborhood Outreach Connection.
